Arek Suroboyo Peaceful Action Rejects FPI Chaos: There is something provoked us

Arek Suroboyo's peaceful action against FPI ended in chaos. The rioting occurred after a number of banners carried by the demonstrators were taken down by unidentified people after the demonstration ended.
Arek Suroboyo Coordinator Rejects FPI, Ahmad Zazuli, said that the demonstration was provoked by unknown people. The provocation was to take banners belonging to the protesters.

"Yes, there are other groups who provoke our action, some are taking our banners. We ask for an emotional tone," Zazuli told detikcom, Tuesday (11/24/2020).

Even so, Zazuli admitted that he did not know exactly which group was trying to provoke it. Not only that, they also tried to fight back against the Arek Suroboyo crowd against FPI .

"When talking about the masses I don't know. Yes, but there was resistance from the (side) next door. They took our banners," said Zazuli.

"Then we asked for good, but how come he had an emotional tone. We took it casually and attacked first. Yes physically. Yes arek-arek defended himself. The one who got his name was Andre being brushed by the other party," he added.

After carrying out the peaceful demonstration, the masses did put up banners which they put up on the water barrier at the location in front of the Grahadi Building. After putting up the banners, the masses withdrew and ended the action.

The banner carried by the masses read 'Arek Suroboyo Reject FPI, Reject radical mass organizations, Expel Radical Organizations from the Republic of Indonesia, reject Rizieq Shihab, and others.
