Jakarta -The government reported that 49,806 specimens related to the Corona virus (COVID-19) were examined today. The number of Corona specimens came from 30,768 people.
BNPB distributed data on the number of COVID-19 specimens on Tuesday (22/12/2020). The data is updated every day with a data cut off system every 12.00 WIB.
The number of specimens examined today is more than those examined yesterday. On Monday (21/12), the number of Corona specimens examined was 37,445.
Of the 49,806 specimens examined, 48,631 of them were examined using real time PCR (RT-PCR) laboratories. Meanwhile, 1,175 other specimens were examined using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
To date, there are 6,873,836 specimens examined from 4,592,232 people.
The COVID-19 Task Force reports that throughout Indonesia there are 510 network laboratories. This total consists of 385 real time PCR (RT-PCR) laboratories, 83 molecular rapid test (TCM) laboratories, and 42 RT-PCR and TCM laboratories.
Of the 49,806 specimens examined today, the government found 6,347 new positive cases of Corona. The cumulative total positive cases of Corona reached 678,125.
Meanwhile, patients recovering from COVID-19 were also reported to have increased by 5,838. In total, to date there are 552,722 Corona patients who have recovered.
Meanwhile, today there were also 172 reported patients who died from COVID-19. In total, there were 20,257 COVID-19 patients who died.
